熊本県を中心とした地震について
2026年7月28日16時27分ごろ、熊本県熊本地方を震源とする強い地震が発生し、熊本県内で最大震度7が観測されました。気象庁の速報値では、地震の規模はマグニチュード7.1、震源の深さは約10kmとされています。
被害に遭われた皆さまに、心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
熊本県をはじめ、九州各地にお住まいの患者さん、ご家族、医療関係者の皆さまが、安全に過ごされていることを願っております。
その後も熊本県周辺では地震が観測されています。揺れの強かった地域にお住まいの方は、自治体や気象庁などから発表される最新情報をご確認いただき、余震や建物の倒壊、落下物などに十分ご注意ください。

8月2日開催・化膿性汗腺炎市民公開講座のご案内
2026年8月2日（日）、NPO法人 領域横断疾患研究機構（NOTRD）による、化膿性汗腺炎（HS）に関する市民公開講座が開催されます。
会場での参加に加えて、オンラインでも参加できるハイブリッド形式の講座です。
わきの下や足の付け根、おしり、乳房の下などにできる、痛みを伴う腫れや、何度も繰り返す「おでき」。
それらの症状は、化膿性汗腺炎（HS）によるものかもしれません。
今回の講座では、皮膚科と糖尿病・代謝・内分泌内科、それぞれの専門的な視点から、化膿性汗腺炎について分かりやすく解説されます。
「化膿性汗腺炎について知りたい」
「治療中だけれど、病気について改めて学びたい」
「家族や身近な人にHSのことを知ってほしい」
「繰り返す皮膚症状が気になっている」
そのような方にとって、病気への理解を深める機会になるのではないでしょうか。

Regarding the Earthquake in Kumamoto
A major earthquake occurred in the Kumamoto region of Japan at approximately 4:27 p.m. JST on July 28, 2026.
According to preliminary information released by the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake was centered in the Kumamoto region at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers and had an estimated magnitude of 7.1.
We would like to express our deepest sympathy to everyone affected by the earthquake.
Our thoughts are with the patients, families, healthcare professionals, and all those living in Kumamoto and the surrounding areas of Kyushu. We sincerely hope that everyone is safe.
Further earthquakes have also been observed in the region. Those in affected areas are encouraged to follow the latest information provided by the Japan Meteorological Agency, local authorities, and other official sources, and to remain alert for aftershocks, damaged buildings, falling objects, and other hazards.
Please place your own safety and the safety of your family first.
Public Seminar on Hidradenitis Suppurativa
On Sunday, August 2, 2026, the Nonprofit Organization for Transdisciplinary Research on Diseases, known as NOTRD, will hold a free public seminar on hidradenitis suppurativa, or HS.
The seminar will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in person in Tokyo or online.
Painful lumps or abscesses that repeatedly develop in areas such as the armpits, groin, buttocks, or beneath the breasts may be symptoms of hidradenitis suppurativa.
During this seminar, specialists in dermatology and in diabetes, metabolism, and endocrinology will explain HS in an accessible and easy-to-understand way from their respective medical perspectives.
This seminar may be helpful for people who:
- Would like to learn more about hidradenitis suppurativa
- Are currently receiving treatment and would like to better understand the condition
- Would like their family members or people close to them to learn about HS
- Are concerned about recurring lumps, abscesses, or other skin symptoms
We hope the seminar will provide an opportunity for patients, families, and others interested in HS to deepen their understanding of the condition.

A Message from HS Voices Connect Japan
Hidradenitis suppurativa can cause symptoms that are difficult for others to see or understand. Patients may also find it difficult to speak openly about their pain, drainage, odor, scarring, and the impact of the condition on their daily lives.
Some people live with these symptoms for many years, believing that they are simply recurring boils or something they have to endure because of their constitution.
We hope this public seminar will help more people learn about hidradenitis suppurativa and encourage those with recurring symptoms to consult a dermatologist.
Patients, family members, friends, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in learning about HS are warmly invited to participate.
For those currently affected by the earthquake, please do not feel any pressure to attend or watch the seminar. Your immediate safety, health, and daily needs should always come first.
